The key to bridging the gap between Big Data and Fast Data within the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is not simply the ability to capture data from disparate sources, but fusing together this information and taking action in real time. Considering that only 1% of oil rig data, for example, is actually examined, the ugly truth is that most data from IIoT applications are not used at all.
Advanced information fusion platforms are designed to present a unified view of all streaming data and provide what is stateful and relevant to analytics applications to achieve actionable insights. In this session, multiple use cases of information fusion will be discussed:
  • Real-time management of sensor data in oil and gas
  • Automation of complex manufacturing processes for efficient environment control
  • Optimize network asset management for the utilities industry
