Level:  Business/Strategic

This session will present Inmar's process to leverage Big Data technology and data science to create data products that drive value. Inmar processes 2.4 billion coupons, one billion pharmacy claims and over 560 million returned goods annually for over 100,000 retail locations and 9,000 manufacturers. Inmar knows Big Data. Big Data, data science, advanced analytics – no matter the latest buzz words – the effort required to produce products using data is still the same, with the keyword being ‘data.’ What has changed are the tools and technologies.

During this session, we will:

  • Explain how being successful requires a team with differing skill sets including Product managers, modelers, and developers using Hadoop and R
  • Show the discipline behind the science
  • Explain how to coordinate with the data movement engineers
  • Review the end-to-end process from business requirements to production and client interaction
We will provide you with actions you can implement immediately upon the end of this session to move your organization forward in realizing value from data from the short-term to the long-term.
